Quality, Safeguarding and CQC
Safe, kind and reliable care is at the heart of everything we do. Here is how we make that happen.
Our commitment to quality
At Springlite Care, quality means care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led. Every person we support has a care plan built around their needs, wishes and goals, and we review it regularly so the care we provide stays right for them as things change.
We welcome feedback from the people we support and their families. It helps us keep improving and make sure our care stays personal and respectful.
Regulated by the Care Quality Commission
Springlite Care is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. The CQC monitors, inspects and rates services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety.
You can find information about registered providers, including inspection reports, on the CQC website at cqc.org.uk. If you would like our current CQC details, please ask and we will be glad to share them.
Safe recruitment
The people who come into your home matter enormously, so we recruit carefully. Before anyone joins our team we:
- carry out an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check;
- take up references and check work history;
- confirm the right to work in the UK;
- meet and interview every carer in person.
Training and supervision
Our carers complete a thorough induction before they start, followed by ongoing and refresher training so their skills stay current. They are supported by our office team and receive regular supervision, so they always have someone to turn to for guidance.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding means protecting people’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. It is everyone’s responsibility and we take it very seriously. Our carers are trained to recognise the signs that someone may be at risk and to act quickly and appropriately.
We have clear safeguarding policies and procedures, and we work openly with local authorities, the NHS and other agencies to keep people safe.
Raising a safeguarding concern
If you are worried that an adult is being harmed or neglected, please tell us straight away by calling 07481 734 972. You can also contact the adult social care team at the person’s local council. In an emergency, or if someone is in immediate danger, always call 999.
Listening and complaints
If something is not right, we want to know so we can put it right. We have a clear, fair complaints procedure and we treat every concern seriously and without judgement. Raising a concern will never affect the care you or your loved one receives.
You can read more on our Complaints page, or contact us using the details below.
